Some additional information. I found that if I click on the debugger icon that in the task bar when the original disabled debugger comes up, the debugger dissappears and the program error dialog message box comes up. I can then suspend the code,and when I go to the debugger and it works correctly.

Now I need to find out why the debugger comes up before the program error dialog.
