OE works with MAPI

Marcia, true OE is a MAPI *client*, but there seems to be some sort of problem getting the OE messages directly out using the MAPI object model programmatically.

That's why I suggested the export to Outlook first. There are a number of sites online explaining that this is the case -- there are FAQs about it.

As a matter of fact a lot of MAPI functions simply fail if OE happens to be the default MAPI client on a box.

If you find something that indicates differently, please post a reference, I'd love to know how to do this.
