>I've rejected products simply because the bid was obviously a find/replace of other company for my company and they didn't get every one (hyphenated or misspelled or ewhatever). If the sales people were too lazy to go through and check their bid then why should I trust that the product is done any differently?

In the early days, a dozen years ago, we were chock full of customers and had to crank out contracts at neckbreaking speed (ah, those times...). So our commerce manager used the state-of-the-art WordStar 4.0 to, well, copy the longest contract we had, and use it as a template, yank out the unneeded parts and just renumber the articles. He only once forgot to renumber the article references, so article 6 mentioned "as detailed later in this contract in article 24"... which would still be fine, had the contract not been shortened to only 15 articles.

Happened only once, and luckily enough, the customer never noticed.
