I went to Slipstick.com, my usual source for this type of information (messaging-MAPI) and several other places that all indicated that OE doesn't allow you to do this.

MSDN says that direct programmatic control of the OE client is not supported. Although I know you can manipulate it with Simple MAPI -- assuming that it is the default MAPI client -- everything I've read said "yeah but it doesn't work right, you can't get attachments, etc." Have they fixed it recently, like in 6?

FWIW I can't stand Outlook Express, so I have never pressed the issue. Andy and I can argue about this over dinner <g>.
