Now you can't, however if you switch to another form and come back you're lost in space :) Cursor gives no clue where you're and setting focus back to grid is really problematic.

It's really a two edged sword. Do you violate the principles of modelessness or do you follow them knowing things like this can occur? I'd opt for the latter since a workaround can probably can be implemented fairly easily where necessary.
