LOL!

In electronics we use "Plug" for male and "Jack" for female.

The United States version of the English language has many prudish customs and people who interpret each word. For example, using “Mailman can cause problems. Some people insist that words should be neutral such as “Mailperson”. Others think it should be “MailWoman”or "MailMan".

Other countries and languages have gender endings but in this country that is considered “sexist” by some. Unfortunately people that think this way are heard and often get his/her way. For about the last 30 years it has been considered improper to use the word “their”. Until then “their” indicated ownership – and to be politically correct one must use the person’s sex to indicate ownership, thus his/her.

Confusing?

Next we will be using instead of “their”, his/her/homosexual/lesbian/transsexual/transgender/none of the above/unsure/don't care.
