And sixteen digits is the limit, actually. If VFP ever has to store that as a variable, its 15.5 significant digits precision may just change the last digit. I remember when we had the world record inflation (we had to discard nine zeros during the year, plus three more on January 1st - the inflation curve was exponential exponential, yes twice), any amount above 16 digits was leading to a loss of any digits to the right, even if it was cancelled out.
