I need a solution to either of the following:

1) Occasionally, VFP 6 will freeze when any type of thermometer, progress bar, or query status bar appears on the screen. Any type of input such as moving the mouse allows VFP to continue processing. This has happened over the years to me on a variety different computers. Does anybody have any idea how to prevent this?

2) I need to automate a number of applications to run unattended. To prevent the freeze up described in 1) above, I prevent thermometers, etc., from being created. I haven't found a way to prevent the query status bar from appearing during long queries. Does anybody know how to prevent the query status bar from appearing?
