I have two problems.

1. At month-end I copy a series of tables to a month-end directory. I then want to deal with them as free tables. Of course, because they came from a database, I get a backlink messagebox as soon as I try and use them. I am using straight file copying and am sure there is probably a good foxpro way of doing this.

2. In my month-end procedures, some records are sent to month-end files and the rest are copied to temp files and then renamed to the original table name. I get backlink popups the first time I use these new tables also. I know I could mark all the records I want to get rid of as deleted and pack the table, but that would mean a lot of recoding and I don't like to pack if avoidable.

Any suggestions would be helpful; especially if Stonefield tools can provide any assistance in their utilities.
