Hi,

Why not just use the menus 'New' --> 'FTP site' and let the wizard take care of it. Or am I missing something ?

Regards,

I have tried to do this by adding a virtual directory below the default ftp site (I wanted to do this because the server has ftp running on it for some backup stuff and now we have a new photocopier that allows users to dump scanned documents into a directory to pick up and use - and I don't want the two sites to be able to see each other).

Anyhow, I rightclicked on Default FTP site and chose "virtual directory" and the wizard that starts asks me to give the site a name and point to the directory for it. All well and good. And then I restart IIS services (just to be sure) but then I cannot figure out how to address this new site.

For example, my server is 192.168.0.16 and so if I want to use an ftp client to get access to the default site, I just put that in. But how do I address my new site (let's say I call it "NewSite" and it points to C:\NewSite). Do I put in:

NewSite.192.168.0.16

This did not work. Do I have to set up some sort of name resolution for "NewSite"?
