There is nothing worse than a world where the only flavor of ice cream available is vanilla. I LOVE vanilla ice cream but I also love choices and the freedom to make those choices and to be able to say that I love vanilla ice cream or not.

I agree that Steve has the right as the owner of the wiki to remove whatever content he chooses to. However, he must also live with the ramifications of the choices he makes. If content is removed on a regular basis simply because he does not agree with it (I don't know for a fact that is what happened but it may well be the case) and not due to offensive language (as in the xxx type) then he will eventually find himself without contributors. If I were to participate in a conversation where all of my comments were erased I would no longer participate.

>I would like to weigh-in on JVP's side. I may not agree with all of his arguments, but, I can't believe a public discussion forum would censure his remarks and opinions. To me, someone with strong opinions makes the whole topic more interesting. The last thing I would want to see is everybody agreeing 100% on everything with no alternative points of view - how boring...

>>>At this point, Rod, it looks/sounds to me like JVP was a valuable member of the FoxPro community.
>>>
>>>JVP's resurrection here has been the antithesis of "valuable to the community" in that the chief objectives of his "contributions" were to rant on and on about irrelevant portions of otherwise sensible argument or to pick at metaphors that most readers could accurately interpret but JVP derided as erroneous (or worse).
>>>I can agree that JVP's opinions could be valuable BUT his sideswiping and foolish pickiness and countless non-sequiturs and need to have the last word all conspire to demean his words to the level bad noise. And his statements regarding VFP8 indicated strongly that he really is out-of-touch with the facts.

>>Excellent interpretation of things.
