Hi All,

For years now we've been happily using the MMAIL32.OCX from Mabry. Recently our network people have decided that the SMTP server will now require Authentication for the connection. Now we can no longer send emails outside or domain. Internal emails go without problem because they don't require Authentication. So I tried the following:

MailCtl.AuthenticationType = 1 && Use AUTH LOGIN
MailCtl.ConnectType = 2 && MailConnectTypeESMTP

This does not work. Error message says the program is not connected to the SMTP server. The big problem is, our network is not set up to use "ESMTP". In fact the network guys have never heard of this. So now I'm stuck. I downloaded the new MAIL/X set of controls from Mabry yesterday. The same problem exist.

My question is. Am I doomed to go to a new control to do my emailing? Since 1 of the programs using the control is 100% automatic. I need all the features that Mabry controls offer. Read, Write & Delete.

Any thoughts are welcome.

P.S. We are using VFP 6 SP5. This will not change any time soon. :-(
