I'm using the mscomm control on a data collection form. I dont want any user interference, it's all automated input. Occasionally if a certain control is active my data gets placed in the wrong control.

So I thought it would be a good idea to turn the form's tabstop off.
I did that.

then the mscomm control stopped reading the port. It never opens the port.

I don't see the correleation. Any ideas?
