Hi Fernando,

Sarcastic it may have been, but I agree regardless. I didn't think it offensive in the least bit either. I think anything that prevents any human being from basic human rights or freedom of speech is terrible. At the same time using political or military force to change a country's government and its laws can be determined to be just as harmful. I understand that sometimes for your own safety you have to act and the byproduct of that action may be a government change and a new way of life for an entire country. The entire process may even stop human rights abuses and poverty, etc. Yet, one has to wonder if no matter the justification for the action if the action itself is an abuse of freedom and free choice. There are people in the world that actually believe in marxism and communism and even anarchy and that is their right. Western civilization may see democracy as the best government with the most individual freedoms but the act of forcing democracy on anyone is in itself an abuse. An example of force-fed democracy is Afghanistan and Iraq.

>Nice to talk to you again!

>You know me (at least I think you do...) so you can't take it as seriously as you took. Anyway, I can answer you in two ways:
>
>First, that was just a sarcastic joke (didn't mean to be offensive) to see who couldn't resist to reply to it and what kind of response it could get, that's why I wrote "damn, I know I shouldn't have said that... it isn't politically correct!". And... you couldn't resist... :)
>
>Second: I'm not comparing anything to anything else (but, yes, I'm talking about freedom to not being discriminated). Just got the hook to say that from times to times people get involved with stupid behavior, dictated by something, be it by a regime (forced by it, like by communism) or by some weird "standard" of behavior, like the politically correct "standard" that is leading many people to act like stupids and write things like the stupid "master/slave" piece.

>Sorry, would like to respond you in portuguese, today I'm not as proficient in english as I would like to :)

>PS. Could you, please, explain to me what 'force-fed democracy' means?
>
>UPDATED: Please see Dragan's message #85543. when he says "I figure the next step, once the pressure against the exaggerated PC newspeak builds up enough, there will be a swing in the opposite direction, so beans will be called beans again, and peas will be called peas.". That's what I meant!

>>Are you comparing 'force-fed democracy' to communism? Interesting comparison since both take away the individual's choice while the first supposedly will provide it in the end. It will be interesting to see if any countries with 'force-fed democracy' actually vote in communist or marxist party members when they actually have the vote and the freedom and right to do so...how would that be for a turnaround?

>>>Hi Grigore,
>>>
>>>>And Orwell was talking about communism there. The worse thing in the world.
>>>
>>>...yes, and that has been replaced by the "politically correct" regime, the ultimate export product of the USA in the last few years (damn, I know I shouldn't have said that... it isn't politically correct!)
>>>
>>>Regards,
