Oh, and where exactly is that market? Could you tell me, in the UK FoxPro activity is near non-existent, is that your answer to the problem - and there is a problem, only you and everyone is powerless to change it.

Maybe it's time to reconsider that food service job. Don't continue to place yourself in jeoprady because of my beleifs. I mean you no harm. If you can't cut it - you can't cut it.

I've known mechanics with top of the line "Snap-On" tools. They were terrible mechanics. I've also seen guys beat up every pool-shark in the joint with a warped broom handle (really). So maybe its something more than what we think it is. Don't sell your self as a VFP developer - sell yourself as a solution provider. A good mechanic doesn't sell a epair job by telling the prospect,"Oh yeah - It's really important thant you know I use Craftsman Tools.

I have no views. I just like writing programs and want to enhance the VFP market. The pitch that "VFP is dead" does not lend itself to my goals.

AFAIK there is no conversion process being attempted here, if you take someone elses opinion the wrong way then that's the way you take it, if you can't stand the heat......

You sound just like Dirty Harry when you talk like that - I think I'm getting excited!!!!

Sucky developments are not the subject here.

I just assumed he was having problems marketing his services. There are a lot of popular VFP based solutions out there. Three reasons something don't sell
1) No market for the product (too niche or too verticle) (end users are not buying vfp - they're buying what we build with VFP).
2) The product sucks - cn't compete
3) Saturation

Do you have a fourth reason for poor performance in a given market?

>>One thing you can say about john is that he is consistent.
>>That explains it - he and you - for sure - must be right. So the equation you're selling in this blog is:
>>
>>CONSISTENCE=RIGHT!

>>Wow - I am saved! Glory be to the maker - JVP and Rodman have just won a convert - they're right - everything we all do on this board and others - SUCKS! Lets start a church some place. I can see it now - a JVP statue - hands outstretched to the hoards of VFP loosers. A statue of you, at his feet, a little cherub - with an engraved chart - showing a decline in VFP.
