This is merely a 'file association' issue. You can alter the 'description' of any file type on your own. When ACT was installed it altered the description.

Go into 'folder options' inside your windows 'control panel'
Select the 'file types' tab from the `General`, `View`, `File Types`, `Offline Files` tabs available.

From the displayed listbox move down and select the `DBF` type. Then click on the 'advanced' command button. Inside the top text box you can now alter the description of the .dbf file type to whatever you like.
