Terry,
>This is where I am confused. It could easily appear that you and JVP are short selling VFP to enhance your non-VFP ventures. Why even bother for the price of admission if you're not interested. What is in it for us?
PMFJI, but I simply must ask you: Does the amount of development work someone does in VFP either qualify or disqualify that person from participating in the "VFP community?" What about differing views about the VFP market or VFP's future? Are those part of some litmus test for continued involvement with old friends?
As for "what's in it for us," that's easy... a great opportunity to learn from various viewpoints -- unless you only want to hear one viewpoint.
I understand your ideas about how this forum supports VFP, but I disagree that dissenting opinions should be squashed or people with differing viewpoints should be uninvited.
That said, I do prefer not to see endless argument just for the sake of argument and do support the forum owner's right to control access of users who abuse the rules about personal attacks, etc.
