Kevin,

If you goto: http://www.alljobsearch.com/

You can select a country - or look for e-projects in the US. Search on FoxPro.

Another hint (from a guy that has to market all the time), check news papers. Don't just limit yourself to a "FOXPRO" search. Also search on "programmer", "software", etc.

Sometimes, the prospect making the offer will listen to any proposal. Things they like to hear are kind words from previous engagements and they want to know about how long it will take (they like "fixed cost" kind of deals.

When you talk to to the prospect - listen - but also try to get a handle on what he wants from the project, and where he is.

Above all - while you search - challenge yourself - learn classes or methods you are interested in - get intense with it - because: When you get back in the market - you won't have time to get romantic with with your tool box.

Don't limit yourself to "real" jobs - think about contracts - the advantage to contracting in the states is that you get to expense stuff that you would normally pay out of pocket in a real job. You also get put under the gun - the job of a contractor is to get fired (really!). Nothing makes a prospect happier and more likely to rehire or offer additional work than a contractor that gets fired on schedule. Diliverables and fixed cost are mantras to budget conscious comapnies.

Think about e-projects - you can code in your PJs:-). But don't let the dry market get to you - or take it personal. Stay busy - take it a step at a time - just an email response from a prospect for a submitted resume is good start. Out of 50 submissions, you should get three or four management interviews. Its a number's game - the more you submit - the more likely you are to get a response.

Call old employers - ask if you can contract some modules. Just keep programing and practicing and marketing. Don't give up! Keep a stiff upper lip:-)
