So far i found your prg to move tables to FireBird, and also a way of creating a new Firebird database using API.
As a matter of fact, i am willing to test VFP with one of the Open Source databases, and in a recent poll in Builder.com or devx, users voted for FireBird, so that was my first natural choice.
I wouldn't mind testing Postgre or MySql if people here would recommend it.

>Firebird is well known in Delphi world because its compatibility with Interbase but I didn't found much informations about its use with Foxpro.
>Fortunately, all things regarding the use of VFP with a database server applies here.

>>>If do you want documentation about HOWTO: VFP+< YourServer > you will not get it in the Help of the product, luckyly VFP doesn't care about wich batabase server are you using, it only need a ODBC Driver (to work with Remote Views and SQL Pass Through -SPT-) or an OLEDB Provier (to work with ADO+RecordSets), or any of both if you are planning to use the CursorAdapter.
>>>So, you only need a to see VFP Help about the topics Client-Server or a generic HOWTO:VFP+RemoteView, HOWTO:VFP+SPT or HOWTO:VFP+ADO to solve this issue:

>Hi All

Why do programs stop working correctly as soon as you leave the Fox?
