FYI. Last Monday night, Dec 1, 2004, at Atlanta FoxPro Users Group (AFUG)
Y. Alan Griver (YAG), Microsoft Visual Studio Data Group Manager spoke on
VFP8 and Europa (VFP9). This was the first time in the US that the
new VFP9 Report Writer was demonstrated. Woe Nelly!!!!

Multiple detail bands, rotating labels, special report events
to control exact position of report items at runtime, and the
ability to automatically "clean-out" the report references in
the FRX were just some of the highlights covered.

YAG also pointed out that VFP8 has significantly improved ability
to understand ASP.NET / ADO.NET communication when compared to VFP7.
