I am a huge soccer fan, and still play indoor soccer twice a week. But it's hard for me to get excited about the MLS. Although I saw the second half of that game, the MLS is so inferior to the English Premiere League, that it's difficult to watch. However, being the patriot that I am, I never miss a game by the men's and women's U.S. National teams :-).

>How many people follow United States Soccer? I was so surprised to learn that the San Jose Earthquakes won the MLS Cup by defeating Chicago 4-2. In years past I have gone to see the Earthquakes but that was when Gerogie Best played for them – three goals in 90 seconds – Georgie we miss you!

>The disturbing thing is that there was no advertising throughout the year to see Earthquake games and no emphasis from any local news service to promote the team, its activities or the fact in was going to play a championship game. The media is so wonderful!
