So what do you want tio use the triggers for then? and more important how do you trap the errors.

I'd set up a persistent relationship in the database container between the primary key index of the parent table and the foreign key index of the child table, right-click on the line visually representing the relationship to bring up the RI Builder and ask it to cascade deletes to the child table when a record is deleted from the parent table.
