>No - I am not trying to convince you. Why? Because whether you are convinced or not has no bearing on the issue. I have zero to gain in investing the time to trying to convince you of anything as you are clearly biased in your opinion. Trying to convince you would be an EIF - and thus a waste of time - your delusions of grandeur nothwithstanding...

While you were once again trying to waste my time, I sent a "heads up" to Steve Black. Here are his comments he asked me to post in this thread:

JVP has been banned from the wiki for quite some time now. Since then
he has resorted to a variety of surreptitious methods of access,
including using his Comcast subscription, equipment at Rutgers
University (where he is a Law student), services such as
Anonymizer.com, and even equipment belonging to colleagues who
(inexplicably) permit him to associate with them. Witness this
message addressed to me from Rod Paddock, last June, which is several
months after I began blocking JVPs IP addresses.

Subject: Wiki Blocked

Yo Steve,
It looks like my IP is blocked from accessing the wiki. I guess JVP
posted something on your site when he shouldn't have. Can you please
open my IP for access. John has assured me that he wont do it again.

Rodman
So if Rod knows that JVP is banned from the Wiki, I wonder why JVP is
now publicly presenting this pretense that, somehow, I owe him a forum
for his vapid views?

So this isn't a case of JVP being censored, it's a case of JVP not being
allowed in the first place. He is fully aware that he has zero
privileges on Wikis.COM, and this has been true for a very long time
now. He snuck in again for a short time after I recently changed
servers on an emergency basis. I apologize to patrons of the wiki
for the oversight and lapse in judgement that allowed this to happen.
Everyone understands that when you open a website to anonymous editing
from the wide-open Internet, occasionally some rotten-apples must be
dealt with.

The day Mr Petersen creates a website and makes it wide open to the
whole internet for over five years, paying for 98% of it himself,
permitting thousands of users to access and contribute to it
anonymously every day -- that's the day Mr Petersen will have earned
the right to call me censorious.

I've certainly earned the right to call a spade a spade, and to decide
whom I allow to use the Internet resources that I alone enable, with
the help of thousands who trust their material to me and help me keep
the site accurate, vigorous, strong, and up and available for everyone
else every day.

As far as I'm concerned, EOT. If you have anything further to say, at least have the decency to post it in a place where Steven Black can respond.
