It looks like you you've got the article reference - great! There was no code in the article since I was under NDA at the time and limited to what I could say.

If you have any questions on how to partition data, post it here and I will try to help, time permitting. Please read the article to get a feel for different ways of partitioning. The coding is not that difficult - it's more important to structure the data properly and understand limitations.

1.) Backup and Restore
2.) Speedy access to data
3.) Index maintenance
4.) Locking - Physical and logical
