You can tap into much of the functionality of extended MAPI using CDO 1.2.1, which is a COM wrapper around extended MAPI. I do not know if it is possible to do it in any other way in VFP.

If not, what allows Redemption to while VFP can not?

I betcha that Redemption is written in Visual C++.
