Since I have german formats it's not easy to test.

But you may test the following

add a record to your cursor (those you want to append) and fill it with some information.

no do

COPY TO your_test_file DELIMITED WITH TAB
MODIFY FILE your_test_file

now you should see the proper date format.

>thanks Anges for the quick help. but I m again stuck up. It worked but date cud not be appended. Date in the text file is "18-11-2003" but is appended as "--". My date format is USA. can u tell me the reason?
