I disagree. I don't think the Wright Brothers were propagating war at all but simply being capitalists and recognizing a great business opportunity at the time.

the Wright Brothers flew an airplane first. Santos flew a balloon. Not the same thing. That does not diminish Santos' accomplishments in the least but they each achieved a different milestone. It is a shame that while Santos received the most attention at the time as well as applauds, he receives little worldwide recognition today. I did learn about Santos in school along with the Wright Brothers and I assumed that was true worldwide. Perhaps not.
