I have created a "Province" mmDropDownList. The data displays fine; but will not show the WarningIcon when the wrong province has been selected.


e.g.

Province = Alberta
Postal Code = V1T2L5

The first letter in the Postal Code reflects which province should be selected. I have created the required rule for this, but the object does not show the icon. For Albera this would be "T".

It would be the same as saying this in the United States:

State = New York
Zip code = 90210

To simplify things, I forced my Rule to simply say it failed and would display a message anyway. The message never appeared nor the icon.

The error has been saved to the object's AddErrorProviderBrokenRule. I have seen it using the debugger.

I have 4 other error routines that work fine for textboxs. I just can't get this one working for the DropDownList.

Any ideas would be appreaciated.
