I was right with regard to EXECSCRIPT("x=y"). Fabio has explained the difference between that and EXECSCRIPT("x"). EXECSCRIPT("RETURN x=y") and EXECSCRIPT("RETURN x") behave identically (assuming no x and y declarations)
