I annoy people by correcting their usage of "bring" and "take". I.e. 'This thing does not work, I will have to bring it to the repair shop!' Unless you are at the repair shop, you cannot "bring" it you have to "take" it.

There, now I have annoyed all of the UT!!

>Have you noticed how even well-educated people use the phrase "...could care less..." or "...could have cared less..." when what they really mean is "...couldn't care less..." and "...couldn't have cared less..." all the time? I hear it from newscasters, entertainment personalities and yes, even from people here who love to argue the fine points of a discussion. Do a search for these exact phrases in the archives and you might be surprised at the results. Or, then again, maybe you couldn't care less... :-)
