I hear it from newscasters, entertainment personalities and yes, even from people here who love to argue the fine points of a discussion. Do a search for these exact phrases in the archives and you might be surprised at the results. Or, then again, maybe you couldn't care less... :-)

After 37 years since I've learned enough English to prevent being sold (*), I'm still not sure which of these are considered correct, and which are wrong:
expression	pronounced as
et cetera	eksetra
february	febewary
library		lie-berry
product		produk
status quo	staytus cow
(*) a footnote here: back home, when asked "do you speak the language well enough", the minimal positive answer is "they can't sell me".
