-I don't want to bother you with my reply, but you know, the last time I used SET -FORMAT/EDIT was probably before 1992 in Foxbase. It's really recommended -to use VFP commands working in VFP environment.

I know. But I try to convert "rapidly" and "temporaly" an DBASE IV application to VFP5 and I'm a new user with VFP5.... :-)
