Yeah, that makes since. Thanks for the help, I think it points me in the right direction. I'll work on it and let you know what I find.

Simple Binding a TextBox means binding the TextBox's .Text property to a column in a DataTable (or to a property of your form or control). With Complex Binding of a Combo, you have to do that also (you'd bind to the .SelectedValue) *and* you have to also fill the Combo with data. That's the only part you're doing right now ... filling the combo with data. You still need to bind it's .SelectedValue to a property on your form or to the column of a DataTable. Does that make sense now?
