Suppose you have a form with a grid that functions like a browse window to allow the user to quickly explore the table and select a record then ESC back to the main data form. Suppose also that you want to prevent the user from editing the table via the browse grid. If I set the grid enabled to false the grid becomes unfunctional and useless. If I set the textbox within the grid to enabled=false the user is unable to select the record for navigational purposes.

Is there another way to approach this?
