Another thing you could do is create a system value table that would have a column with a date value (this table would only have one row) . In your aapp application class, you can add some code that would get this date value and allow the application to run if the date is in the future or is blank, otherwise issue a message and shutdown the app. This could be put in the 'beforereadevents' method.

You could then deliver your app with the date value in this table to be the value you want.
