Mark,
You might want to look at the Kodak/Wang image controls, they actually allow "markup" of a TIF with annotations.
You can do some pretty powerful stuff with IE and DHTML too. I posted a reply to someone a couple of months ago that showed how to overlay an image with tagged info, it's not that hard. I got the initial seed of the idea after seeing the tree graphs produced by a tool Microsoft uses to study newsgroup threads. I've got plans to fiddle some more over the holidays doing some drag/drop GUI via IE.
>That's an interesting idea. I wish it were just a simple display issue. The image being displayed is also being edited (cropped, resized, annotated with labels and arrows)... all in VFP with the help of an image-processing DLL. So I need to be able to drag-drop onto the image and also know just where on the image (which may be scrolled H or V) the object was dropped. Do you know if the "viewport" coordinates for a scrolled webbrowser control are accessible? Can it pass drag-drop, mousedown, mouseup, mousemove events back to vfp?
