How can I append from a remote view?

I have a DBF in my DBC (DT.dbc) called test.dbf
I have a remote view in my DBC call SQL_test that points to an SQL 2000 table

I say:
Use test
Append from DT!sql_test

And it says SQL_test.dbf does not exist.


If I say:
Use DT!sql_test
Browse
Copy to xx

Then I see the data in the SQL file and it copies to a dbf file called xx (but with short field names)

How do I append from it?
