John
I'm quite sure that everybody looks at those other communities and considers whether to move. But for those who decide to stay put for whatever reason, prophets of doom who condescendingly assert that nobody else has considered the options, are somewhat tiresome. Apart from that, I have no objection to estate agents advertising the other hillsides, except when they tell what they know are outright lies.
FWIW, in New Zealand they ski on active volcanos even when there are huge plumes of smoke coming out!

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
