A lot of DBI issues over the years has been due to them using MFC. A lot of the issues really aren't DBI's as much as it is MFC. However, Brian is correct that they could possibly write a wrapper class around the EDIT control and then hopefully clear out that issue. But thank Microsoft for causing the problem. This has happened many a time with MS patches. That's another great reason I use Delphi. I'm not dependent on any MFC DLLs. <g>


I'm no C++ guy, but from reading what the MS document say, it seems that they (dbi) should be able to fairly easily modify the code for the control to properly pass or receive this WM_CHAR thinging_ma_jigger.

I was just wondering if my thinking is right and if anyone else has encountered this type of problem.
