Not always. There are alot of productivity enhancments with VB - particularly in the area of COM. Many folks get bogged down in OOP. If you are an advanced/expert level developer - then yes - OOP will most likely cut down the time. However, for many folks - it adds time.

Don't get me wrong here.. I am big believer in OOP and hope VB gets it soon. But, there is still a lot that can be done today with tools like VM which work fine with VB.
