Just keep in mind that VFP 8.0 works great on a Tablet PC, and you can build mobile and phone apps with VS .NET 2003 (ASP.NET and mobile controls) connected to VFP COM DLLs just fine. Europa will be released in less than one year, and Longhorn several years out, so it is difficult to speak logically about both of them together at this time. There will be extended support in Europa for better SQL Server 2000 and Yukon integration, improved XML support, and more.

We do not currently have plans to add native web development to VFP since we offer that functionality in ASP.NET tools. More and more developers and companies using VFP are successfully using ASP.NET with VFP. In an increasing amount of cases, VS .NET 2003 adds to VFP solutions just like SQL Server has been adding to VFP applications. While many solutions work great with VFP and DBFs stand-alone, you can do even more with VFP apps when adding VS .NET as yet another tool to build applications.
