The problem is I need to know when a document remain opened while I execute other commands. Is there a way to know when a document is opened. I open many document but so I can't just close the application (Word Application).

Efrain,
If you're using VFP7 and later you might create an eventhandler that'd notify you when word closes (or other events).
If you don't really need to know when it closess do nothing. oWord object would go out of scope as your routine ends but word itself would be available to user.
