you can do that also with a button.

Set button.themes to .t., the button has backolor 236,233,216.
If I set button.themes to .f., the button is a little bit bright, but when I access property backcolor, it has also 236,233,216.

The same backcolor-value and different appeareance?!

I think, that setting themes to .t. overrides button.backcolor.

= .Your_Pageframe.Pages(1).backcolor
?

The pageframe itself is not visible (at least I do not find a visible part).
