You are using the Cursor Adaptor, I hope. My experience may be different than yours becuase everything I have done between VFP in front and SQLServer in back is in direct Cursors doing database conversions. The CA handles everything very seemlessly. Even gives a lot of power for databse manipulation. As far as the ODBC goes, I've decided to keep using it, as opposed to vfp oledb driver. Seems to be faster for me.
