Hi.

I need some help setting up access to data files for an ASP.net application. The .net framework and and ASP.net application is running on the computer named "Neil". The data files are on a different computer named "Glenn". The 2 computers are on a simple LAN. No domain configured. The default APSNET user, installed when .net framework was installed, runs ASP.net. Previously it was suggested that I would have to change from the ASPNET user to a user that I can configure it's password for. I did this. It was then thought that if I set up a user of the same name on the other computer along the same exact passowrd that I could trick the other computer into thinking that the ASP.NET application should be allowed access. This did not work. Can someone show me how to have the ASP.NET app on one computer and the data files on another. Of course I set the directory that contains the data files to have the same user ( at first it was ASPNET then it was CustomASPNET with a password) that runs the ASP.NET app on the other computer.

Neil
