I've mislead you about the grid.

I finally just copied the project to another dir and started eliminating controls, etc until I found the culprit. It wasn't the grid or the pageframe which I suspected; it was a "cancel" command in the main form's deactivate method.

Since the app is built around a single form I put cancel in the deactivate of that form. Obviously print preview triggers deactivate on all the active forms. I guess that means when a user exits the preview all the activates are triggered.

Anyway, thanks for your responses they kept me going.
