It is my understanding that vfp6 will cache forms. The first time I open a form it may take .5 seconds. If I close the form and then reopen the form it might only take .09 seconds. At least this has been my experience with VFP – am I wrong? I have a client that is running a VFP6 program on a Novell network and no matter what type of form I create (even forms that have no data requirements) it always takes the same time to display the form. Depending on the form it takes between 3-10 seconds to display. I find this surprising. On my network the form is cached.

Does anyone have an idea as to why VFP appears not to be cached?
