Look at config.fpw in online help.

Include
SCREEN=OFF
in config.fpw to prevent the VFP screen being displayed when your exe starts. If you do it programmatically you often see a brief "flash" as _screen is displayed, so config.fpw is better.

Make your MDI parent form's SHOWWINDOW property = 2 and it will be a top level form.

Make your MDI child form's SHOWWINDOW property = 1 so it is inside the top level form.

Consider carefully whether you might be better to make VFP's screen your parent mdi form - you can change captions, icon etc in config.fpw or at the start of your app, then just set _screen.visible=.t. . Then forms with SHOWWINDOW=0 (default) will display in the screen as expected.

Make sure you include your config.fpw in your project so it always goes along with your exe.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
