The same happens with the "french military victories", mainly created by French-bashers in the USA, after France did not side with Bush in the Iraq mess. You will notice the first page is a collection of stupid photos, none of them even remotely connected to France, and all without correct attribution (like the funny soldiers march, which comes from a Monty Python skit).

Independently of the current USA general opinion of France, and of the USA having saved France in WWII, and expecting more gratitude in return, we as USA should never forget that it was with the help of many Frenchmen like Lafayette that this country had a chance to get a fighting start in the American Revolution.
