I am using the same sdt.app in both cases. The only difference is where I call it from. In both cases I see the complete treeview, except the menu is disabled unless I call the program from the directory the sdt.app is located. I changed my macro to change directories to c:\stonefield\std, then call sdt.app and then change directories back to the original directory c:\ps. Since I got it to work I'll let well enough alone as I need to get finished with my project.

The Refresh method of those toolbar buttons checks for NOT Thisform.lDemo (which is why I had you check that) and NOT EMPTY(Thisform.cMetaPath), which contains the path for the open meta data. Other than that, you'll perhaps have to trace the Refresh method to see what's causing a button to become disabled.
